This place has some amazing coffee and the barista is quite kind. When I took a sip of my espresso shot, I squealed. 10/10.

I adore my local coffee shop. Not just cuz it’s hyper local but because the cappuccino is truly always just right—matcha latte, hojicha latte are real good too. Their miniature pastry selection is good. It’s sweet to be surrounded by all the gorgeous potted plants for sale. Owner, Shelly, is the kindest, friendliest barista I’ve ever met.

I love this cafe! I've been coming here for months now and stopping by during my morning dog walk always brightens my day. Sherry and Dayton are wonderful owners and create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is great, as well as the pastries. I haven't bought any plants yet but they all look very happy and healthy. Looking forward to my next visit!

I’m so happy this place is open! I dropped in today on my way home and picked up a chai latte. It was just what I was craving! The owner is very welcoming and friendly! The shop has an abundance of beautiful and healthy plants that are also for sale. I know where I’ll be purchasing my next plant from. :) Definitely recommend checking this place out.

A neighborhood gem! Such a cute local spot with really excellent espresso drinks (and some fun match and hojicha drinks that I didn’t get to try). The white chocolate cardamom syrup in my latte was very creative and delicious. I went on a rainy day but on sunny days it has lovely sidewalk seating where you can sunbathe on a quiet street.

I love this cute and charming little coffee shop! Reasonably priced and delicious drinks with great service from Sherry, Alex, and the rest of the staff. They serve Cat & Cloud coffee and pastries from The Midwife and the Baker and Good Luck Bakery. Stop by next time you’re in the neighborhood!

I've been to Golden Outside every day this week. I've had their latte, chai latte, and matcha latte, all delicious. The owner is very nice, quite knowledgeable, and even makes good foam art. Highly recommended.

cute small cafe. no seating available so it’s more grab and go. i got their seasonal strawberry hojicha and it was very good! haven’t seen too many creative drinks with hojicha so im happy they’re doing it. would definitely come back.

We are so grateful that golden outside is in the neighborhood. We’ve been going there several times a week for over a year now. We always have the most pleasant experiences! the owner and all the employees there are so kind and generous. This is definitely my family’s favorite café in Oakland. Atmosphere is great and there’s really beautiful plants for sale that you can check out and even purchase while you’re waiting for your drinks.

I frequently visit Golden Outside since I work nearby and I adore this little cafe! Sheri(Sherry?) is amazing and very knowledgable about all of the plants she keeps and sells in the shop, and the coffee is delicious. They alternate bakeries which is really fun, since every day there might be something totally different. The teas are also excellent, amazing chai. I love the care and attention they put into everything, if you're in need of a pick me up and a plant in the Cleveland Heights neighborhood in Oakland I highly recommend stopping by!
